Potential User Experience

I have been trying to work out a rough walkthrough of a user’s potential experience of my application. Here are my initial expectations of a user’s probable process:
  • 1. The user is attracted by a part of my intended advertising campaign.
  • 2. The user visits the supporting website for more information, then downloads and installs the application onto his/her compatible mobile device.
  • 3. The User then opens the application and is greeted by a welcome screen that features a brief overview of the application and instructions for use.
  • 4. The user then moves forward to view the locations where the featured content can be viewed; this is illustrated by pins on Google maps.
  • 5. The user can tap each pin to display a brief description of the content available at that location.
  • 6. The user is then guided to the location of the chosen pin where the mobile devices viewing screen displays a 3D representation of a fallen building, this image is shown over the top of a real world view taken from the device camera.
  • 7. The user can also access information about the chosen building by tapping a button displayed on the screen.
  • 8. The user then has a choice to visit another location or leave the application.
  • 9. If the user chooses to visit another location they are returned to the map view where he/she can repeat their earlier process.
  • 10. If the user chooses to leave they are thanked for their use of the application before the application closes.

I have created visual example of the user’s potential experience please see below:
